Floatin' me boat: Part The First

Just wanted to add a quick post to outline for posterity what, as the title suggests, is floating my boat at the moment. In other words, what I'm digging hard.

I'm reading: Eclipse

Well, I'm currently burning through Eclipse, the third book in the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer.












Damn, but this stuff is the guiltiest of pleasures. It's (in a nutshell) about Bella Swan, a teenager who moves to the tiny town of Forks, USA, and falls in love with a vampire called Edward Cullen. There are lots of other vampires too. Hot vampires. Also... werewolves. Mmmmmm, avez vous fromage? Sounds cheesy I know, but they're actually beautifully written and extremely evocative. And romance porn of the highest order. No sex, but PLENTY of woman-swoony, fan-girly, star-crossy, bosom-heavey romance. And it's great. Did I mention it's about hot vampires? *sigh*


I'm playing: Tales of Pirates

It looks like I've finally succumbed to the siren song of the MMORPG, or Massively Multi-player Online Role Playing Game.

NERRRRRD!!!!

The bf has been trying to get me to play Ragnarok Online for ages, but as the server has died, it looked like all hope was lost. But then I found Tales of Pirates and the timewasting commenced!! It's fun, it's cute, and I can actually play it on my laptop. WoW it ain't, but still MMO madness - and the added bonus of kawaii comes standard with every log-in. :D
